Old Fashioned

Ingredients

• 2oz whiskey
• 1 barspoon (~1/8oz) simple syrup
• 2-3 dashes angostura bitters
• orange peel garnish

A more traditional approach calls for crushing a cube of sugar instead of simple syrup.

Process

1. Stir whiskey, simple syrup, and bitters with ice in a chilled mixing glass for 15-30 seconds
2. Strain over a large rock
3. Express orange oil and garnish with a twist

For a single drink, this can all be done in the rocks glass.
